One of the many highlights of the San Diego 5k SCADaddle weekend September 11-12 was Dr. Stan Henkin’s Presentation at the SCAD Social/Reunion Dinner. Dr. Henkin is a researcher with Mayo Clinic’s SCAD Research Program in Rochester, MN.
California celebrated its 10th SCADaddle this year thanks to the dedication of many volunteers and sponsors. We especially appreciate Ellen Robin who began and continues to chair the San Diego SCADaddle. Ellen is also SCAD Research, Inc’s President.
Once again, a virtual silent auction was organized by SCAD survivor Donna Sugimoto and Terri Bell, Donna’s sister and our Board Secretary. This year’s virtual silent auction raised over $3000 for research.

There is still time to register for our final 2026 SCADaddle on November 6 in Ohio (Cleveland area).
In addition to raising thousands of dollars for research, SCADaddles provide an opportunity for SCAD supporters to meet and support each other as well as increase awareness about SCAD.
