2026 Utah (Salt Lake City) 5k SCADaddle© for Research

Thank you to all who joined in our second Utah SCADaddle festivities and helped to make the weekend such a success. In addition to raising funds for research, SCADaddles provide an opportunity for those impacted by SCAD to meet in person and support each other. SCADaddles also raises awareness about SCAD.

The Utah SCADaddle© took place on Saturday, April 25 at East River Front Park in South Jordan, a suburb of Salt Lake City. The SCADaddle was a huge success, raising thousands of dollars for research.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this a wonderful event!

An awards ceremony took place after the 5k. Food trucks were also available.

A Meet & Mingle took place Friday evening at the Holiday Inn, South Jordan UT. All 5k participants were welcome. Everyone enjoyed this fun, informal way to kick off the weekend and to meet other 5k participants including SCAD survivors.

After grabbing their race packets, participants socialized, while enjoying a treat!

SCAD Research, Inc. is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization, founded in 2011 by a family who lost their loved one to SCAD. Most of the $1.8 million donated to research has been awarded to Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program, Rochester, MN.
