2025 IL News Pre-event

After many months and countless hours of planning, our 2025 SCADaddle season is off to a great start! Planned by volunteers, SCADaddles are open to the general public. They are our main fundraisers.

Summer SCADaddle

Our 12th Chicagoland (IL) SCADaddle timed run/walk on June 7 promises to be another fun event in Wheaton, IL on a USATF certified course. Dr. Sharonne Hayes, who started the first research program focused on SCAD, will join us and present Mayo Clinic’s latest research.

We will live stream Dr. Hayes’ presentation. She will answer questions afterwards from both the in person and online audiences. Watch our Facebook page and e-newsletter for streaming details.

Fall SCADaddles

Plans are underway for two fall SCADaddles – California and Pennsylvania.

Join us September 6 for the 9th San Diego (CA) SCADaddle on Mission Bay. Register by Aug. 17 to guarantee your 5K t-shirt. Dr. Sharonne Hayes from Mayo Clinic SCAD Research, Rochester, MN. will present Mayo’s latest research findings on Friday evening. Dr. Hayes is a cardiologist, professor and SCAD researcher. Limited scholarships are available.

Mark your calendar to attend our 2nd annual Pittsburgh, PA SCADaddle on October 7. Plans are being finalized and registration will open soon. We look forward to this great 5K to round out the 2025 season.
