After many months and countless hours of planning, our 2026 SCADaddle season is off to a great start! This year we have eight SCADaddles throughout the country with two already complete. Below is information and the logistics regarding the six SCADaddles that will be happening the rest of the year. Please support these events to help us raise funds and awareness for SCAD research.
This year, there is an option to raise funds even if you do not attend a SCADaddle in person. Click any event link below to set up a fundraising page. You can also make a donation to someone else’s fundraising page.
Summer SCADaddles – One to Go
Illinois
Our 13th Chicagoland SCADaddle timed run/walk on June 13 promises to be another fun event in Wheaton, IL on a USATF certified course. We are honored that Dr. Patricia Best, an interventional cardiologist and SCAD researcher at Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program, Rochester, MN will be joining us. One of the areas of Dr. Best’s focus is the Cath Lab where she reviews and diagnoses SCAD heart attacks.
We will live stream Dr. Best’s presentation. She will answer questions afterwards from both the in person and online audiences. Watch our Facebook page and e-newsletter for streaming details.
Fall SCADaddles – Four This Fall
Plans are underway for four fall SCADaddles – California, Pennsylvania South Carolina and Ohio!
California
Join us September 6 for the 9th San Diego SCADaddle on Mission Bay. Register by Aug. 17 to guarantee your 5K t-shirt. Dr. Stan Henkin from Mayo Clinic SCAD Research, Rochester, MN will present Mayo’s latest research findings on Friday evening. Dr. Henkin is a cardiologist, specializing in vascular medicine, including short-term and long-term management of SCAD and associated arteriopathies, such as Fibromuscular Dysplasia (FMD).
Pennsylvania
Mark your calendar to attend our 3rd Pittsburgh SCADaddle on October 4. Plans are being finalized and registration will open soon. We look forward to another great 5k in Pennsylvania in 2026.
South Carolina
We are excited for our first SCADaddle in Greenville, South Carolina and hope you can join us on October 17 for a great time meeting other survivors, supporters and SCAD Angel families/friends. A Meet & Greet is planned for Oct. 16. Register by September 17 to guarantee your 5k t-shirt.
Ohio
We are thrilled to have a first SCADaddle in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The 5k SCADaddle for research will be on November 7th. This will be an opportunity to meet survivors, SCAD Angel families and supporters for SCAD research. A Meet & Greet is planned for Friday evening, November 6th with more information to come. Register by October 24, 2026 to be guaranteed an event t-shirt. Registration is now open.
