Our 3rd annual Lehigh Valley 5K SCADaddle© for Research timed run/walk on August 11 in Center Valley, PA was a success, raising thousands of dollars for research! Among the participants were survivors, their supporters and family and friends of Meagan who did not survive (SCAD Angel).
If you were unable to attend any of the SCADaddles© so far this year or even if you have, we hope you will join us at one of the two remaining SCADaddles©. Each weekend includes special SCAD Reunion events for survivors, their supporters and families whose loved ones did not survive (SCAD Angels).
Click these links for details and to register for the 5K and SCAD Reunion events:
- West Coast/Carlsbad, CA (near San Diego) on Sept. 8
- Dr. Sharonne Hayes (Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program, Rochester, MN) and Dr. Jeffrey Canedish (Kaiser Permanente, San Diego, CA)will share their insights @ 1pm
- Minnesota/St. Paul on Sept. 22
- Dr. Marysia Tweet (Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program, Rochester, MN) will present Mayo Clinic’s latest research findings Friday evening (Sept. 21)
If you cannot attend in person, you can be with us in spirit as a virtual participant. Virtual participants have been with us on treadmills, walking or running in their neighborhood or just reaching out to friends and family to raise money for SCAD Research! There is no charge to participate virtually. You also have the flexibility to choose a different date or time if you prefer.
If you can help in any way, please contact us through our website or email scadinfo@scadresearch.org. Many things can be done remotely. We are always looking for sponsors or donations.
The SCADaddle© for Research events are opportunities to meet others who have been impacted by SCAD while raising money to help find answers about SCAD. The more funds we raise, the more answers will be discovered!
