2025 Pittsburgh (PA) 5K SCADaddle© For Research
Sunday, October 5, 2025
Our 2nd annual Pittsburgh 5K SCADaddle for Research timed run/walk on October 5 wrapped up our 2025 SCADaddle season in style.
The chip-timed 5K took place at South Park – Edgebrook Field, South Park Township, just outside Pittsburgh. All participants received a participation medal when they crossed the finish line.
Awards were given to the overall winner male and female. Recognition was given to 2nd and 3rd place males/females overall and to the top three males/females in a variety of age groups.
After the awards ceremony, participants relaxed, enjoyed refreshments and each other’s company. They also shopped the SCAD store.
On October 4, SCAD survivors, their supporters and SCAD Angel family/friends gathered at 7 Twelve Table & Taphouse in Pleasant Hill, PA. The evening started out with early 5K packet pickup and a meet and greet. A cash bar was available throughout the evening. Dinner was included.
This was a wonderful opportunity for those impacted by SCAD to meet, share their stories and support each other.
A highlight of the evening was meeting and learning from Dr. Agnes Koczo from UPMC – Women’s Cardiovascular Disease. She shared information about SCAD after dinner and answered questions.
The SCAD Reunion is especially for SCAD survivors, their supporters and family/friends who lost their loved ones to SCAD – our SCAD Angels.
Sponsorships by organizations and foundations are key to raising additional money for research on the causes and best treatment options for SCAD.
