2025 Salt Lake City (UT) 5K SCADaddle© For Research
April 26, 2025
Thank you to all who joined in our first Utah SCADaddle festivities and helped to make the weekend such a success. In addition to raising funds for research, SCADaddles provide an opportunity for those impacted by SCAD to meet in person. They raise awareness about SCAD too.
The Utah SCADaddle© took place on Saturday, April 26 at West Riverfront Park Pavillion in South Jordan, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City.
Utah SCAD Survivor Justine Carter shared her inspirational story and completed her first 5K at the event. Dr. Libo Wang from the University of Utah Health talked about the importance of research and raising awareness.
Utah’s 1st annual SCADaddle was a huge success, raising thousands of dollars for research. There were over 150 participants and 117 registered runners/walkers, including 11 SCAD survivors. Plans are already being discussed for 2026!
A Meet & Mingle took place Friday evening at the Holiday Inn, South Jordan UT. Everyone enjoyed this fun, informal way to kick off the weekend and to meet other 5K participants.
After grabbing their race packets, participants mingled with each other, while enjoying a treat!
Sponsors play a key role in helping to raise money for research. Money raised through SCAD Research, Inc. helps to fund the most promising research.
