Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection

Great information here

My cardiologist just informed me of this group. It’s good to know that SCAD is becoming more visible to the medical profession. I think I was very lucky to have an amazing doctor on call when I came in to the emergency room with severe chest pain – my guardian angel! While he did not think my symptoms were heart attack related at first, he pressed on and eventually decided to do an agioplasty and sure enough – he found a blood clot. I had SCAD when I was 37 while visiting my parents in Chicago, 8 weeks after the birth of my 3rd child. All is well now, but when I tell people my story – they go into shock!
