2025 Solomons Island (MD) 5K SCADaddle© for Research
May 17, 2025
The 2nd annual Solomons Island (MD) 5K SCADaddle© for Research chip-timed run/walk took place on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The SCADaddle started and ended at the Tiki Bar & Grill, Solomons, Maryland. Solomons Island is a short drive from Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington, DC.
Eleven of the 60 plus registrants were survivors. Thousands of dollars were raised for much needed research! Participants enjoyed beautiful weather and each other’s company throughout the morning.
After the SCADaddle there was an awards ceremony for top finishers. The top three male and top three female overall finishers and the top male and top female winners in each age category were recognized. All participants received a medal.
Thank you to all who joined in the festivities and helped to make this year’s Solomons Island (MD) SCADaddle such a success!
A SCAD Reunion especially for survivors and their supporters took place following the awards ceremony at the Tiki Bar & Grill.
Dr. Sonia Samtani (third from left) conducted a SCAD Education Seminar. Dr. Samtani is an Interventional Cardiologist at MedStar Health, Maryland. She is well known in the community for treating SCAD patients and for her compassion. Dr. Samtani’s presentation received great reviews.
