2019 Lehigh Valley 5k SCADaddle© for Research

The Lehigh Valley timed run and walk on October 12 at Upper Saucon Township Community Park in Bethlehem, PA wrapped up the 2019 SCADaddle© season. It was a busy weekend, enjoyed by all. Thousands of dollars were raised for research.
Medals were given to the top three finishers males/females overall and in a variety of age categories. Participants relaxed and enjoyed refreshments afterwards.
SCAD Reunion & Mayo Clinic SCAD Presentation
Dr. Ellina Feiner (Lehigh Valley Health), Drs. Patricia Best and Marysia Tweet (Mayo Clinic)A SCAD Reunion for survivors, their supporters and SCAD Angel families took place on Friday evening, October 11, at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Quakertown, PA. This was an opportunity for survivors and SCAD Angel family members to get to know each other.
On Saturday afternoon following the 5K, those interested attended a SCAD Informational Seminar at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. Dr. Ellina Feiner, a cardiologist affiliated with Lehigh Valley Hospital, shared information about SCAD. Drs. Marysia Tweet & Patricia Best from Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program, Rochester, MN joined the seminar virtually.
Fall Fest Fundraiser
A Fall Fest Fundraiser wrapped up the festivities and raised additional funds for research. The Fall Fest was an outdoor BBQ open to the community with music, outdoor games, a fire pit and smores! In addition to enjoying delicious food, participants had an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a variety of donated items. Tickets were also sold for a three-day, all inclusive get away for two to Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa, Mexico, which was secured by Packntravel Travel Agency, Sellersville, PA. The winner of the getaway was Shenee Slade!
