Thank you Bob and family for this wonderful website and for supporting SCAD research! My SCAD was in 2003, after the birth of my second son. I was 38 and had a “widow maker” tear at the fork of the LAD, so had double bypass surgery. Today, it feels as though all that happened to a different person. Although SCAD can recur, I don’t dwell on that. My focus is my boys’ future and other women out there who are being misdiagnosed or ignored in the ER.
With deep appreciation to the Alicos, I look forward to “knowing” all the the SCAD women who are finding this site and gaining comfort. We’re in this together!
