SCAD — I was lucky.

April 9, 2013

I say I was lucky because in 1999 at the age of 37 years I had a SCAD, yet on that same day I had my only child. It was an isolating time for the first two years, never being able to hear of other SCAD survivors. Then a friend saw a magazine article about a lady in the USA (I am in the UK) who had experience a SCAD also. As a result of my experience I feel for all those people who would like to have a child, who have had a SCAD already and the difficult decisions they now face.
So on May 4th 2013 some of the UK SCAD survivors will be walking too! thinking of all the SCAD survivors, their families and of course those who did not survive. Thank you for this web site and the research that has at last begun.
