I had my SCAD event 5 days after the birth of my second child. My SCAD extended throughout all arteries of my left main. Because of the severity of the dissection and by pure numbers, I should not have survived. However 20 months after my SCAD and and 4 months after a double bypass to correct the arteries, I am still here and hoping to help determine the causes of truly rare silent killer.
